My Entry.

I chose to make a Faux Gemstone.

Faux Purple Fire Agate

Faux Purple Drusy Slices

Faux Clay Pearls

I Love the look of cha cha bracelets
They are such a fun way to display beautiful beads.
These beads are so lightweight and fun.

Premo Clays Used:

I will share the exact colors in my tutorial that will follow soon

Premo Purple Clays
Glitter white Premo
White Transparent

.I Made a few canes in several shapes and sizes.

Some very tiny and some large and thick.

Some of the canes I put together in odd shapes

to form the faux look that is not supposed to be consistent

in shapes or sizes. Which made it very fun.

I then made a Drusy style cane and sliced
left it in abstract shapes as slices of Drusy are not perfect.

Baked them on some great new thick wide aluminum pieces

I found at Hobby lobby. Will share more info later.

They baked up wonderful.

Put them all in a very cold ice bath right away

Was so excited to hold them up and see they were completely

Transparent. Yay it worked.

Wet sanded then buffed with my dremmel tool and Renissance

It is so hard to show the transparency in photos.

I messed around with so many ways to get it to show up.

Ive been extremely sick so I gave up trying to figure out how.

I will put aside a few hours one day to do some research on the

best way to take photos of something transparent. hmmm

Tips are welcome in comments :)...

I Wire wrapped all the clay beads and added some faux clay pearls.

Dangled them on my favorite type of links for Cha Chas

Here are my attempts at photos with light behind it.

They are not done very well.

Kind of me not well. LOL

But I love the bracelet and plan to wear it with the pendant.

So stay tuned in a few days a free tutorial for the

agate and Drusy will follow.

as artists and getting to know them.

This months challenge is Faux

That can be any type of Faux anything made with

Polymer Clay.

I chose a faux stone.

Looking for genuine stones Ugh the prices.

I love faux fire agate

Like the look of it being slightly transparent

Love the many shades it comes in.

So I experimented last night and had fun with it.

I of course choose purple

Since purple and pink are my favorite colors.

Here is a real Fire Agate

This is sold by someone on Ebay

To see the stone and seller click on the photo.

I will be making a tutorial on this.

Almost done with it just have to finish up editing photos.

It was fun and easy so I want to share. :)

Here is my Faux Purple Fire Agate Pendant

I Also made a faux druzy slice

All wire wrapped Just like a normal stone.

Was very fun and when the light shows through

It is so clear and you can see both sides and all the

pretty colors of clay.

I love Premo White transparent it is awesome

It really helped with this technique.

It is so hard to show in photos the true transparency.

I am very sick so I didn't have the time I wanted

and did not feel up to the other ideas I had to add to it.

But I had fun so that is all that matters.

I hope you stop by and Vote
